My Background

As a North Philadelphia native and first generation student from a Puerto Rican-American household, I have experienced a lot of adversity. However, despite any hardships, I have always felt a driving sense of passion toward hard work and accomplishments. That voice gave me the grit to work and work hard and help others in the process. I have a passion for helping people. This is the driving force of all of my ventures. This gift of connecting with people and simply just trying to help them is what I have found to be my purpose in life.

My Hobbies

My strong work ethic extends to my passion for social justice and other faith-based causes centered on equity and access for all people. Aside from volunteering at my local church, I enjoy working out with my gym partner, going for a long run at my local track field and watching the Penn State Nittany Lions or any Philadelphia sports team play in their respective sports.

My Favorite Things

Aside from a strong sense of faith that centers me in life, I highly value family and friends. It is my goal as a professional to never stop growing, so I am constantly looking to further my pedagogical knowledge to be a stronger teacher. I am also an avid reader who is interested in everything from religious studies to historical texts and curriculum handbooks to current events happening in our world.
